Robin Popp's Bio:
Robin E. Popp was born in Hialeah Florida, and has had art in her bones since she was two years old. A Pinellas County resident for over 25 years, she is constantly inspired by the beauty of the Florida landscape. Although she loves exploring different techniques and mediums, she continues to return to oils for their richness and luminosity.
Some of Robin’s recent projects include the Memorial Causeway Bridge commemorative poster for the City of Clearwater, and her participation in the Evinston to Cross Creek Invitational Paintout as one of their anchor artists. She is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists, Plein Air Florida, Artists Alliance of North Florida and a board member of the Clearwater Arts Foundation. She is most known for “The Crow Series” which began in 2003 with a three-person show at the Painted Fish Gallery in Dunedin.
Robin uses many techniques of the old masters, yet each work is approached with a freshness that makes it unique. Her work is increasingly in demand, and is found in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and overseas. Robin is represented by the Painted Fish Gallery. Her studio is located at her home in Clearwater, and she teaches plein air painting classes throughout Florida.
