Jacquelyn Schindehette's Bio:

Jacquelyn Schindehette, a Miami native, began her painting career alongside the premiere Florida landscape artist A. E. “Bean” Backus.  Her formal art training was at the prestigious Art Students League in New York City.

Jackie is a gifted master of traditional oil painting, specializing in Florida landscapes.  She paints en plein aire capturing the unique vistas found in her home state.  Some plein air paintings are offered just as they are finished in the field.  Others are used as source material for creating paintings in the studio.  The rich variety of her art offers a fresh experience with each new work.

The State of Florida has honored Jackie by inviting her to hold three (3) separate solo exhibits in the Capitol Complex in Tallahassee:  Florida Department of State,  Florida Supreme Court Rotunda and the Governor’s Gallery in the Capitol Building.

Florida House in Washington, DC commissioned a painting for their permanent collection.  Jackie’s paintings are widely collected and found in private as well as public collections such as the State of Florida, Florida Power and Light Company, MBNA American Bank,  Integon Insurance Company, and Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute.

Because of her professional accomplishments and outstanding artistic talent, Florida Governor Bush selected Jackie to create a Christmas Tree ornament for the White House Christmas Tree, representing all the people of Florida.
